Hey All,
I just wanted to thank the people who actually cared to visit and comment on my site! I will be doing my best in the tumultuous future to keep comming back here with updates about what is going on and to show of some random shit that I find online :)
Right now I think is a good time to actually introduce myself (I'll try to keep it interesting but I'm not the best at telling back stories)
I grew up in Nelson, a small town in the east kootenays. It was a good place to grow up if at sometimes a little boring. I usually found some way to keep myself (and others) entertained. (yes I was the class clown, as well as the "transient" who could join almost any group in school and not be shunned)
Somewhere around that time I met Jerrett which is really how I got here. (to this blogging/webpage creation software).
Lets speed things up a bit. In 2000 I moved to Vancouver to persue a career (or at least education) in computers, web design and media. That worked out for all of 2 years when I was booted from the webmasters program at CDIS (now ai-cdis) when I was halfway through it. (I was going part time and once the full timers were done the program they decided to pull it for whatever reason). That put me into a rather serious funk about schooling and so I jumped into the job market with my limited education with the help of my awesome grandmother who has many contacts in useful locations about the Vancouver area. So with her help I jumped from job to job for a year or 2 never really feeling particularly satisfied with any of the positions I ended up in but gaining some very important real world experience both computer and general workplace related. Sometime in October of 2002 I met my (now) fiance, Lin. Yay for me! It was good timing because nothing was going all that well for me at that point. Fastforward a bunch to modern day 2008 where we have just moved up (again) to a bigger apartment, have 2 cats and a planning to move to Nova Scotia in a year or 2. I know there is a lot of stuff left out between the time I met Lin and now but there is more time for explanations in further articles.
As for my interests you are starting to get a picture and will get a better idea of things as I post more articles and links. For now, read about nintendo's newest innovations! (thanks kotaku!)
Oh yeah! I almost forgot. One of the reasons I wanted to write this today was to mention that we are still recovering (our stuff) from moving, so I probably won't be posting too much in the next couple of weeks. I'll see what I can do though.
